Alberta Enterprise Group applauds NEB decision on Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain Expansion Project

EDMONTON: The Alberta Enterprise Group (AEG) is applauding the National Energy Board’s (NEB) recommendation of conditional approval of Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain Expansion Project.

“The Trans Mountain Expansion will create jobs for Canadians in every sector of the economy – right across the country. It will create revenue to fund government services like health and education, foster the development of new businesses and create value in pension funds and other investment holdings,” said AEG President Josh Bilyk.

“This state-of-the-art expansion project will create wealth across Canada and supply energy the world needs while maintaining the highest safety standards on Earth. Canadians are simply the best in the world at responsible resource development.”

“We are confident that Prime Minister Trudeau and his Cabinet will uphold the NEB recommendations and expeditiously grant final approval. It’s time for Canadians to get to work on this critical nation-building project.”

“We urge all Canadians to reach out to their Members of Parliament to support the Trans Mountain expansion and the significant economic benefits it will bring.”

Alberta Enterprise Group is a member-based, non-profit business advocacy organization. AEG members employ more than 150,000 Canadians in all sectors of the economy.
